My story

Wouter Trappers

I moved away from my expensive, cumbersome website software to simple, fast pages. Now I have full control at a much lower price.

That is exactly what I now do for other small businesses: I handle every switch myself, from the first look at your site to the day it goes live. No middlemen, no ticket system, just one person who knows your website inside out.

For your firm

Built for lawyers, notaries and accountants

Your website is your digital business card. It should come across as trustworthy and polished as your advice, without you having to worry about it.

A professional impression

A fast, polished site that immediately builds trust with anyone looking you up for the first time. No slow pages, no dated look.

Discreet and secure

No database or login panel to crack. Your site is a closed door to attackers, exactly what a firm handling confidential files needs.

Privacy handled

Reliable visitor numbers without a cookie banner and fully GDPR-proof. No trackers following your clients.

The Problem

Why your current website is costing you money

WordPress, Webflow and Wix bring costs and hassle you often only notice once you are stuck with them.

Slow Load Times

An average of 4-8 seconds load time. Many visitors leave before your page has loaded, and with speed every second counts.

53% leave site if loading takes >3s

Constant Maintenance

Updates, plugins, hosting, backups, certificates. For the smallest change you often need a web builder, and when something goes wrong you depend on them.

50+ hours per year on technical hassle

Security Risks

WordPress is a popular target for attacks. Outdated plugins make your site vulnerable, and updates are endlessly required.

90,000 attacks per minute

The Solution

A simpler approach

I rebuild your site into plain, fast pages: lightning fast, secure and barely any maintenance.

Lightning fast

Your site is made of ordinary, ready-made pages. Load times under a second, because nothing has to compute in the background. Your visitor sees your site instantly, anywhere in the world.

Nothing to hack

No database to hack. No add-ons with leaks. No login panel to crack. Just simple, secure pages.

Worry-Free Management

I handle hosting, updates, backups and security. You focus on your business. No technical knowledge needed.

Easier to find

Fast load times mean a better spot in Google. Exactly the speed Google rewards websites for.

Full Control

You are never locked in. You own it all yourself: the site, the words and the keys. Move whenever you want, your data always stays yours.

Easy Content Management

You edit your own text and photos in a simple editor, as easy as in Word. No technical knowledge needed.

Pricing

Transparent pricing

I take your website over entirely, from the rebuild to the maintenance. One fixed monthly amount, and you can become the owner yourself at any time.

I move your site over in a single morning, with a few minutes of downtime. After that your plugin licences fall away and the hosting, the security and the maintenance are my concern. You keep your content up to date.

Client story

Muntuit traded WordPress for peace of mind

For us, WordPress was mostly cumbersome. Now I build pages myself from ready-made building blocks, I share our link again with confidence, and the code and server access are in our name. The switch took one Monday morning with a few minutes of downtime, and our Google visibility stayed intact thanks to redirects on nearly 200 blog posts.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Everything you want to know about switching.

No, all your content is preserved. All texts, images and files come across to your new site. Before I start, I also make a complete backup.
A standard switch takes 2-4 weeks, depending on the complexity and the number of pages. I work with a test version so your current site stays online until the new one is ready.
My entry level is the Launch plan, for a polished practice site you keep up to date yourself. For a site of one or two pages I am not the right choice: cheaper builders exist for that, and saying so is more honest than selling you something too heavy. Where I make the difference is an existing site with content you want to keep and no longer want to maintain yourself.
Yes, and it’s cheaper: pay the subscription a year up front and you get 2 months free (you pay for 10 months instead of 12). Paying monthly is of course also possible. The one-time setup is separate from this.
Add everything up and the difference is smaller than it looks. Cheap packages seem like a bargain, but you’re usually locked in: your site lives on their system, the monthly fee keeps running, and the building and upkeep are on you. With me you pay for a site I migrate, maintain and secure for you, and that is fully yours: you can take everything over at any time. No lock on your site, no surprises. For a practice handling confidential files that matters more than a few euros a month: your website is your business card, not a throwaway product.
It doesn’t matter where you are. I work for clients fully remote, entirely online: the switch, the maintenance and the support all happen online, so you don’t depend on an agency in your own town. In practice the lines are even shorter: you deal directly with me, with no account manager in between. Prefer a video call to get acquainted first? That is always possible.
Yes. You get a simple editor that lets you edit text, upload images and add pages without technical knowledge. As easy as in Word, with a preview so you see the result before it goes live.
Your site runs on Astro, a modern technology that generates ready-made pages: lightning fast and without a database. You manage your content with Tina, a simple editor that feels like Word. You do not need to know either to manage your site: I handle the tech, you handle the content.
I keep all your addresses (URLs) and set up automatic redirects where needed, so your positions in Google stay intact. The faster load times often even improve your position after the switch.
Little. I take care of the switch, the content transfer and the technical side. From you I mainly need input: a content check, feedback on the test version, and access to your current site. Not a full-time project. A few contact moments are enough.
Absolutely. Every month your subscription includes support hours for small changes (from 1 hour on Launch to 4 hours on Scale). Bigger changes or new work I do at a day rate of €750 per day, always with a clear estimate first. And you are never tied to me: you can take over at any time.
On a static site very little can technically break: there is no database or server to crash. If something does break on my end, I fix it for free, separate from your support hours. On a subscription I pick that up quickly.
You always see your new website in a test version first, before it goes live. Nothing changes on your current site without your approval. Are there things that need to be different? I adjust those during the project, before we go live.

By default I work with a subscription, because then I handle everything and you have nothing to worry about. If you prefer full ownership from the start, that is possible:

  • Launch: €3,255
  • Growth: €5,925
  • Scale: €9,475

Including the full handover and one year of hosting. After the buy-out there is no more subscription: further help is done at a day rate of €750 per day, after an estimate and with a minimum of half a day.

You get everything in hand: the full code, the server access, the security and all the keys. The first year of hosting is included. You are then 100% owner and can host the site wherever you want. You are never locked in.
Everything your site needs: hosting, security, updates, monitoring, daily backups, and monthly support hours for small changes. The build of your site is in the one-time setup. Big new work or a redesign falls outside the subscription and I quote it separately.

Every month I help you with what is already there:

  • a quick question about the editor
  • a small text or image change you can’t manage yourself
  • adjusting a setting, such as a redirect or a form field

Your included time per month: Launch 1 hour, Growth 2 hours, Scale 4 hours. Not used up? It expires, it doesn’t roll over.

If something breaks due to the build, the hosting or an update on my end, I fix it for free, separate from your support hours. The same goes for a mistake in what I delivered, or a server-side problem such as downtime. In short: you do not pay for my mistakes.

New work falls outside support. For example:

  • a new page or a new building block
  • extra functionality or a redesign
  • a new integration, such as a CRM or a second language
  • migrating a lot of content

I do that at a day rate of €750 per day, always with a clear estimate first so you are never surprised. Hours beyond your monthly support also fall here.

No problem. I bill the extra time at the day rate, and I let you know in advance as soon as we go over your included hours. So you decide whether it is worth it, and you never face an unexpected invoice.
Yes, and you can do so at any time. The transfer fee is the one-time amount of your plan, reduced by what you have already paid in subscription, with a minimum of €250. The longer you have been a client, the less the transfer costs. You receive the live site, the configuration files and the server configuration. After that there is no subscription running, so further help is done at a day rate of €750 per day. The precise arrangement is in my terms and conditions.
Yes. I connect the analytics program you want, such as Google Analytics. As standard I offer a privacy-friendly alternative in every package that uses no cookies and complies with GDPR. That way you get reliable visitor numbers without a cookie banner.
Yes. I connect your newsletter form to the email tool you already use, such as Mailchimp or MailerLite. Prefer your own system to manage? That is possible too; that requires a heavier server and sometimes migrating existing contacts, for which I make a separate quote.

How much you can build yourself differs per package:

  • Launch: you build pages yourself with a set of basic building blocks (text, images, numbers, FAQ).
  • Growth: extra building blocks for blog, lead magnets, team and testimonials. Ideal if you actively work on your visibility.
  • Scale: access to all building blocks, plus custom-built components for specific needs.

StaticShift is built for fast, secure content websites. A few things I therefore deliberately don’t do:

  • Webshops with a cart, inventory management and checkout. That belongs on an e-commerce platform. A few individual products through an external payment link is fine.
  • Member areas with logins, user accounts or gated content.
  • Web applications such as booking systems with live availability, configurators or client portals. That is application development, not a website.
  • Community features such as forums or live comments. Those rely on an external service that I can at most embed.

Not sure whether your idea fits? Just ask, and I’ll tell you honestly whether it fits.

Yes. I show videos via YouTube or Vimeo, so your pages stay fast to load. I deliberately do not put heavy video files on the site itself: that requires separate video hosting, which I can arrange separately and which is billed separately.
